2025 Jacks Ridge Triple X
On Sunday June 9th over one hundred riders turned out to tackle the Jack’s Ridge Cross Country MTB Marathon race.
The event featured two length races. A 50km half marathon and a lung busting 100km full marathon race for either teams or solo riders.
Each year during Triple X, the Brian Cockbain Perpetual Trophy is awarded to the fastest male and female riders of the 100km course. This year, like several previously, this trophy was taken out by Anna Beck and Jason English. Anna completed the 100kms in 5hrs and 9mins while Jason finished in just 4hrs and 29mins!!
Congratulations to Jason English and Anna Beck for winning their 4th and 3rd Brian Cockbain Perpetual Trophies!!! (Anna had to leave prior to the trophy presentation)
The contenders receive the day’s briefing
Earlier in the week Jacks Ridge also played host to the NSW Schools MTB Series run by all time 24-hour MTB racing great, Jason English, from Hunter Schools MTB.
There was a great turnout for the even with a number of participants entering from a wide range of schools across the state. As usual with the series the riders were split into respective age groups ranging from under-7s to under-19s.
The event hosted a Cross-country Olympic (XCO) races for the age groups with the oldest group racing for around 50 minutes. A Funduro event was held throughout the day for the different age groups.
All races had points on offer for individual riders and the schools they represented.
A list of winners and points can be found here.
As always, if your interested in joining in the fun and chaos of MTB racing or even a fun day out on the trails head over to Jacks Ridge and check out their website for more information.
